How to play, register, and get help
Everything you need to know about joining a tournament, setting up your team, and what happens on match night. If something goes wrong, we've got you.
Getting Started
New here? Here's what you need to do before your first match.
- Students: Create an account with your name, email, and school. Your teacher needs to approve your team before you can play.
- Teachers: Register your account and wait for your organisation admin to approve it. Once approved, you can create teams and add your students.
- Already registered? Log in, check your dashboard, and make sure your team is showing as "Active" before match night.
- Can't find your school? Select "My school isn't listed" during registration and enter your teacher's email. They'll get a notification to register and approve your team.
Player Guide
What you need to know as a student playing in the competition.
- Your dashboard shows your upcoming matches, your teams, and your recent results - all in one place.
- Match chat opens as soon as your week's fixtures are generated. Use it to coordinate with your opponent (lobby setup, scheduling).
- Submitting scores: After your match, tap "Submit Score" in the match chat. Your opponent confirms or disputes it. If they don't respond within 24 hours, your score is accepted automatically.
- No-shows: If your opponent hasn't been active within 60 minutes of match time, you can claim a default win after 15 minutes past the scheduled time.
- Need to reschedule? Use the "Request Reschedule" button in the match chat before the reschedule deadline. Your opponent has to agree to the new time.
- Something wrong? Tap "Request an Admin" in the match chat. An admin will join and help sort it out.
Teacher Guide
How to register teams, approve students, and keep an eye on matches.
- Creating a team: Go to your dashboard, pick a tournament and game, add your players (name, email, in-game username), and confirm parental consent. Your team is approved instantly.
- Student-created teams: If a student registers a team and lists you as their teacher, you'll get a notification. Review the roster and approve or reject it from your dashboard.
- Monitoring matches: You have read-only access to your teams' match chat rooms. You can see all messages but students won't know you're watching.
- Managing rosters: You can add or remove players mid-season from the team detail page. You can also withdraw a team entirely if needed.
- Quick tip: If you ran teams last season, use the "Quick-fill from previous team" option when registering - it pre-fills your roster so you don't have to re-enter everything.
Match Day Help
Quick answers for when you're mid-match and something isn't working.
- "I can't find my match" - Log in and check your dashboard. If your team is Active and a week has been generated, your match will appear under "Upcoming."
- "My opponent isn't showing up" - Wait 15 minutes past match time. If they still have no activity, the "Claim Default Win" button will appear in the match chat.
- "We disagree on the score" - The person who submitted can have it disputed by the opponent. An admin will review it. Tap "Request an Admin" if you need help faster.
- "The chat isn't loading / messages aren't appearing" - Refresh the page. If it still doesn't work, try a different browser. Make sure you're logged into the correct account.
- "I need to play at a different time" - Use "Request Reschedule" in the match chat and suggest a new time. Your opponent needs to accept it. The new time must be before the reschedule deadline.
- "My team was withdrawn" - Teams are automatically withdrawn after 4 defaults in a tournament. Contact your teacher or organisation admin to discuss reinstatement.

FAQ
Do I need to download anything to play?
No. The tournament platform runs in your browser. You'll still need the actual game installed (Valorant, Rocket League, etc.) to play your matches.
Can I be on more than one team?
Yes, but only for different games. You can play Valorant for one team and Rocket League for another, but you can't be on two Valorant teams. You also can't play for two different schools.
What happens if we can't play at the scheduled time?
Use the "Request Reschedule" button in the match chat to propose a new time. Your opponent has to agree. The new time must be before the reschedule deadline (usually 3 days after match day).
What if the other team doesn't confirm our score?
If they don't confirm or dispute within 24 hours of the match time, the score you submitted is accepted automatically. You don't need to do anything extra.
My teacher hasn't approved my team yet. What do I do?
Check that you entered the correct teacher email when registering. Your teacher gets a notification and an email. If it's been more than 48 hours, ask your teacher directly - they may not have registered on the platform yet.
Can I change my in-game username after registering?
Ask your teacher to update it on your team's roster page. Students can't edit their own roster details.
Who can see my email address?
Only your teacher and your organisation's admin. Other students and opposing teams can never see your email or last name - they only see your first name and in-game username.
Still need help?
If guides and FAQ didn't cover it, open a support ticket from your dashboard. Include the tournament name and match details so your admin can help quickly.
Before you open a ticket
Check your dashboard for notices, review the match chat for any updates from your opponent or admin, and make sure your team status is "Active." Most issues resolve themselves once you're in the right place.
